2. Silver Lane Bistro

City: Warren, ME
Category: Restaurants
Telephone: (207) 273-6464
Address: 1 Silver Lane

Description: You can hardly drive around the Midcoast without hearing an ad for this up-and-comer on the radio. Built around old barn on a side road off Route 1, the small place serves a globe-trotting mix of surf and turf. One day you might want the shrimp scampi, the next the Asian trout, the beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce, or the duck a l’orange. With its exposed beams and warm wood grain, the dining room is cozy and the desserts worth sticking around for. The place is open for dinner Thursday through Monday. Reservations are a good idea.
