Description: Brown College is an important local technical and trade school. The school boasts many graduates from its programs in local television and radio positions. Brown provides an education that employs its students in their fields of study. Since it opened in 1954, the range of programs at Brown has rapidly expanded. The school has a second campus in Brooklyn Center.Today Brown College has 14 programs in fields as varied as culinary arts and criminal justice. The culinary arts program is a member of Le Cordon Bleu French cooking school. Another important program is the Department of Visual Communications, where students train for such careers as graphic design and Web site design. Also of note at Brown is the radio and television broadcasting program, where students can train to become camera operators, producers, video editors, newscasters, and more. In addition, Brown has digital electronics and computer technology, telecommunications, PC/LAN, and e-commerce programs.
