Description: Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Minneapolis is dedicated to helping older adults maintain their autonomy, independence, and safety. The Older Adult Services staff includes social service and nurse case managers who are specialists in the field of aging and are knowledgeable about community resources— the staff also includes professionals who speak Yiddish and Russian. One phone call to JFCS puts you in touch with a case manager who will answer your questions and schedule a time for an in-home visit. Some of the services offered include housecleaning, personal grooming, Kosher Meals on Wheels, in-home health services, transportation to medical and dental appointments, grocery shopping, consultation with family and caregivers, household financial management, volunteer visitors, and individual and family counseling. Fees are based on income and ability to pay.
