Description: This 292-acre park features picnic areas, a visitor center, a fishing pier, a boat launch, a unique 1.75-acre upland swimming pond with chlorinated water, and a wheelchair-accessible swimming ramp that extends into the pond. The visitor center, which was formerly a private residence, contains meeting rooms, a reception area, exhibits concerning the area around Lake Minnetonka, and a garden containing a huge variety of native medicinal and herbal plants.The park has a nice fishing pier, with two seated angler stations. There’s a concession stand next to the changing rooms/bathrooms by the picnic area with accessible tables where folks can purchase goodies while enjoying the water. The beach is well maintained, with large umbrellas located around the water for families to use to keep themselves cool on the hottest summer days.
