Description: From the ashes of the little-mourned Har Mar and Pavilion Place theaters in Roseville has risen the AMC Rosedale 14, an emporium of stadium-style theaters that includes the Twin Cities’ smallest IMAX screen. IMAX buffs like to point out that it’s not a “true” IMAX theater, but a digital IMAX system. Whatever.

Description: Joe Senser’s Sports Grill & Bar is a popular spot for Minnesota Vikings fans. All four locations feature big-screen, high-definition TVs encircling the bar, as well as numerous smaller monitors. Joe Senser, a former Minnesota Viking, is the local legend/owner and also participates in a Vikings postgame show, Vikings Unsensored (on sports radio station KFAN), after each game. In addition, Senser’s features college football and basketball, as well as professional basketball, baseball, and hockey. Offering a wide selection of beers, Senser’s also has plenty of food to accompany the suds.

Description: Willowgate’s menu is extensive and features several hundred Chinese and Vietnamese items. At lunch there are combination meals for under $5, including several seafood items. The curry shrimp and chicken fried rice are two favorites. Each is accompanied by a choice of two chicken wings or cheese wontons. Dinner offers larger combination plates as well as traditional Chinese fare, such as lo mein, egg foo young, fried rice, and seafood. Willowgate serves beer and wine, and lunch and dinner are served daily.

Also available are many dishes with beef, chicken, pork, tofu, scallops, and shrimp, which all can be prepared with eight different sauce choices, from garlic to saffron curry, satay, and mock ginger chili with green beans.
