Description: Bald Eagle–Otter Lakes Regional Park, comprising 884 acres, is located in White Bear Township in the northeast corner of Ramsey County. The park features extensive woods, wetlands, and grasslands. The park is home to many species of wildlife, including red foxes, deer, woodcocks, herons, turtles, minks, beavers, osprey, otters, and muskrats. More than 3 miles of paved and woodchip-covered hiking trails offer visitors the opportunity to experience nature up close. Fishing— both when the park’s lakes are liquid and when they are frozen—is popular here.The Tamarack Nature Center offers a variety of programs, including bird-watching tours, syrup making, guided summer hikes, and winter snowshoe walks. Inside the nature center itself are mounted displays of many animals native to the area.
