Description: Louis P. Balducci Vineyards is the latest addition to Missouri’s wine country. In addition to the beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views, the Balduccis produce 11 wine varieties and offer up a menu of salads, pizzas, pastas, entrees, and dessert specials. Located 3.5 miles west of Augusta, the winery hosts a number of special events throughout the year, including live music on Saturdays from April through October.

Description: In addition to great wine and food and top entertainment, Mount Pleasant Winery offers stunning views of the rolling hills and lush green flatland that connect the hill country to the Missouri River. Voted Favorite Winery in the 2008 Sauce magazine readers’ poll, Mount Pleasant offers free tours of the facility on weekends and a tasting room with indoor and outdoor seating. You can grab a bite to eat with your wine from the Augusta Grocery, which stocks assorted cheeses, fruit, crackers, and deli meats, or at the Mount Pleasant Grill, which offers salads, sandwiches, veggie wraps, and the house specialty—flatbread baked with sun-dried tomatoes and Fontina cheese and served with a basil pesto dipping sauce. During October, Mount Pleasant joins the other Missouri wineries for a month-long Oktoberfest celebration that includes popular local bands and harvest-related activities, such as grape stomping. Admission may be charged for special events.
