Description: It’s not far to Harrison, and Deivito’s is worth the trip. Sights around Harrison make a great day trip, and dinner at Deivito’s on the way back would top it off. There is a large spring there that forms Bear Creek, which eventually makes its way to Bull Shoals Lake. But there is more to Bear Creek Springs than that. Two of the more famous things are Devito’s Restaurant and trout fishing. Devito’s is renowned for their wonderful Italian food and, naturally, their trout. In fact, you can fish there, catch a trout, and they will prepare that very one for you to have for dinner. No fishing license is required and the entire family can do it. Fishing is by appointment. Call 870-741-8832. Some of their greatest dishes include the chicken almondine, trout, Fettuccine Devito, and the chicken parmesan. Boone County is dry, so they don’t serve alcoholic beverages, but you can bring your own wine and they will provide you with corkscrew and glasses. Deivito’s is open Tuesday through Saturday.
