Description: The Plaza location is the flagship hotel in St. Louis and the newest addition to the collection of Drury hotels downtown. The lobby is part of the former Fur Exchange Building, which is one of the oldest buildings in St. Louis. The term “affordable elegance” may seem cliché, but things at this hotel definitely look a lot more expensive than they are. From the marble and granite lobby area, complete with its Lewis & Clark diorama, to the 365-plus guest rooms, the Plaza is a very nice, reasonably-priced option. Many of the rooms offer spectacular views of downtown and the Gateway Arch, and the hotel provides easy access to Busch Stadium and the historic riverfront. There are two full-service restaurants on-site: Max & Erma’s is a casual and family-friendly St. Louis sports-themed restaurant—part of the national chain—and Carmine’s Steakhouse features hand-cut, custom-aged steaks and Italian cuisine.
