Description: Rosati-Kain, a Catholic college-prep school for young women, is located in the Central West End neighborhood. Rosati-Kain was established from two separate educational institutions named for the first two Archbishops of St. Louis—Joseph Rosati and John Joseph Kain—that were merged to form one school in 1911. Today’s student body is made up of girls from throughout metropolitan St. Louis. The school is accredited by the North Central Association and the Missouri Department of Education, and all of the courses offered are college preparatory. Athletics are a big part of the culture at Rosati-Kain, and the school has competitive teams in tennis, track, volleyball, softball, basketball, soccer, and swimming. The school application procedures are the same as those used by other area Catholic schools that are affiliated with the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
