Description: This monthlong Reno summer arts festival features more than 200 different performers and exhibits at different citywide locations. Highlights include a touring Broadway musical, music concerts, ballet on the banks of the Truckee River, and film and visual arts demonstrations. Children are welcome and even have their own acting and arts workshops. Most of the events are free. (See the chapter on The Arts for more information.)

Description: Reno is in hog heaven in late September. Reported to be the country’s sixth largest motorcycle event, the five-day festivities include arts and crafts, parades, an auction, nightly entertainment, and a motorcycle poker run.
