Description: Within this historic 22-room mansion you’ll discover exhibits that depict the lives of two generations of people who lived in Oyster Bay between the 1770s and 1870s. Visitors will learn about life during the American Revolution, as well as how the quality of life improved for people living in the region during the Victorian period (in the late 1800s). More than 5,000 pieces of furniture, household accessories, clothing, and artwork are on display, including a handwritten letter from General George Washington dated Aug 2, 1777.

Description: When the weather is warm, consider signing your kids up for sailing lessons. The WaterFront Center is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to serve the public by encouraging students of all ages to become actively involved in the preservation of the environment, and to promote the safe, enjoyable use of marine resources. The WaterFront Center is a U.S. Sailing Association–accredited facility, as well as a member of the American Sailing Association. Sailing lessons are available for both adults and children. Instruction is offered on 23-foot Sonars, Rhodes 19s, and cruising sloops with wheel steering, roller furling sails, and diesel auxiliary engines. All private and group sailing lessons are designed to accommodate an individual’s unique learning style.
