Description: For more than 50 years Molloy College has evolved dramatically in an ongoing effort to meet the demanding needs of its students and prepare them for successful careers. The school currently offers degrees in many areas, including business, education, criminal justice, allied health sciences, and computer information systems. Molloy also offers programs in psychology, theology, philosophy, history, political science, music therapy, and mathematics, plus the school has the fourth-largest nursing program in the country.Outside of the academics, Molloy College offers a well-rounded lineup of activities, including 40 clubs and honor societies, as well as a well-established athletics program. The school’s various athletic teams compete in the New York College Athletic Conference (NYCAC) and the NCAA Division II. Popular teams and sports offered at the college include lacrosse, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, cross-country, equestrian, and a dance team. The school’s Global Learning Program has recently expanded to include study-abroad opportunities in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Japan, India, Australia, and Thailand. Malloy’s main objective is to prepare every student “to live and work in a world where their only boundaries are self-imposed.”

Description: This is a 375-bed, not-for-profit hospital best known for its maternal health, oncology, and physical medicine services, as well as its emergency and trauma care. More than 700 physicians and a staff of 1,700 are employed at this hospital, which offers a wide range of medical and surgical services for children and adults alike. The hospital will soon be celebrating its 100th anniversary and is proud to deliver more than 1,500 newborns each year. Mercy Medical Center is home to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Nassau County and is the region’s leader in cancer care.
