Description: Bunkhouse is one of the area’s few gay bars that offers drinking and dancing in a festive environment. Special themed events are held several nights a week. For example, there’s “Skin Fridays,” and one recent special event had a pajama party theme. Live DJs play the latest dance and pop music nightly. This club has been around for more than 30 years. While it’s not located on Fire Island, during the summer season it does attract the Fire Island crowd due to its close proximity to the ferry.
