Description: The Bixby Public School district, approximately 70 square miles, serves nearly 4,400 students in its six buildings. There are two elementary schools, two fifth- and sixth-grade centers, a middle school, and high school.Art and vocal music are part of the curriculum for all grades. Older students participate and compete in drama, speech, and debate. The school has an excellent band program with a marching band, concert band, jazz band, and winter guard. The high school choir was one of two high school choirs invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in 2009.High school students have the opportunity to take any of six Pre-Advanced Placement classes and seven AP classes. Languages taught include Spanish, German, and French.Bixby competes in Class 5A sports. Athletic activities include basketball, baseball, cheerleading and dance, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball, cross-country, football, softball, track, and wrestling.
