Description: Opened in 2002, Immanuel Christian Academy is sponsored by Immanuel Lutheran Church, a member of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. It serves approximately 170 students, in preschool through ninth grade, on a 30-acre campus with facilities in the church, an annex, playgrounds, and sports fields. In addition to core subjects, students take art, music, physical education, and technology. Spanish is introduced in the classroom in kindergarten through third grade with formal instruction for fourth graders and up. Latin was added for the upper grades in 2009. The school is expanded a grade a year and by 2012 will have a full high school program. Currently, eighth- and ninth-graders can enroll in Pre-Advanced Placement classes in mathematics, English, science, and social studies. Average class size in the school is 12 students. Extracurricular activities include volleyball, basketball, track, cross-country, and football. Extended care is available.Students attend chapel weekly and uniforms are required. Tuition for 2009–2010 ranged from $4,500 to $5,500.
