Description: You can enjoy tasting Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Dry Riesling in a quaint Victorian farmhouse at Argyle Winery. Argyle produces grapes on more than 235 acres of premium vineyards and is well known for its New World sparkling wines. Visitors are welcome 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The winery is closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

Description: Duck Pond Cellars in Dundee produces award-winning wines at affordable prices. Some featured varieties include golden, buttery Chardonnays; Pinot Noirs that have the rich essence of black cherries and cedar; and spicy, velvety Merlots. Another favorite is Semillon Ice Wine—a rich dessert wine that has splashes of apricot and pineapple. Visitors are welcome 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (May through September) and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (October through April). The winery is closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Description: Located in the picturesque Dundee Hills, Erath Vineyards produces excellent Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Dolcetto. More than two-thirds of the wine production at Erath Vineyards is dedicated to Pinot Noir. The red clay soil of the Dundee Hills is ideal for growing Pinot Noir and four different types of Pinot Noir are offered at the winery. The least expensive is the Vintage Pinot Noir, which displays fruity characteristics and is easy drinking. The Vintage Select Pinot Noir is rich and complex and is made from only select grapes. The Reserve Pinot Noir and Single Vineyard Pinot Noir are very special batches that are made in small quantities and only come from the rare and special vineyard sites. Visiting hours for this winery are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

4. Sokol Blosser Winery

Description: Susan and Bill Blosser started Sokol Blosser Winery in 1971. The grapes at this winery are harvested by hand and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are aged in French oak casks to produce full-flavored wines. In addition to a fine tasting room with grand views of the Willamette Valley, this winery also features a walk-through showcase vineyard that is designed as a self-guided tour where you can learn about the different grape varieties and seasons at the vineyard. Visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The winery is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
