Description: The staff at Lane Family Connections can provide you with resources and referrals for registered and exempt family care providers, group home providers, and registered child care centers in the Florence and Mapleton areas. Registered family care providers are registered with the Oregon Child Care Division to provide child care at their residence. The state requires that family child care providers be registered if they are caring for three or more children or children from more than one family (other than their own children) at any given time. If these conditions do not apply, then the family care provider is not required to registered with the state and is exempt. The center can also provide you with short-term care referrals and support materials to answer your child care questions. This service is provided on a sliding scale basis based on income. If you are traveling through the Florence or Mapleton area and need to find out about short-term care, you can also call the center and the staff can provide you with a list of short-term care providers. They accept payment in the form of Visa or MasterCard, so you can obtain the information over the phone.
