Description: Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) enrolls approximately 27,000 students each year at its campuses. MHCC’s services cover the spectrum from providing adult literacy classes to preparing students for transfer to a university or entry into highly technical fields such as microelectronics, and the college provides one- and two-year degrees and certificates in more than 100 professional, technical, and transfer programs. Academic opportunities are, naturally, also available, including the Oregon Transfer Degree, the Honors College, and the MHCC–Portland State University Co-Admission program. In addition, continuing education classes are offered to the community at locations throughout MHCC’s district with topics ranging from art to aerobics, cooking to computing, investing to woodworking. Classes are offered at the 200-acre main campus, as well as at satellite campuses throughout the district.
