Description: The HARDE program for low- to moderate-income seniors can provide a $3,500 grant for accessibility improvements such as ramps, wider doorways, grab bars, lower counters, and security devices. Other improvements for home owners may include heating, plumbing or electrical repairs, and roof and siding upkeep. Low-interest loans up to $25,000 are also available for qualifying residents to make needed home improvements. In some cases the repayment may be deferred as long as the senior owns and occupies the home. Renters are also eligible for help with improvements for accessibility.

Description: Oak Knoll Winery gained its early success from producing berry wines at an affordable price. Star varieties from this winery include Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and a scrumptious raspberry wine labeled as Frambrosia. Oak Knoll is also proud to sell Niagara, which is produced from a grape varietal called Niagara, a member of the Vitus Labrusca family of vines. This wine is the color of pale straw and has a slightly sweet grape flavor that is long lasting. Visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 6 Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from May through September. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. October through April. The winery is closed major holidays.
