Description: Something about the Molalla area inspires train building. Pacific Northwest Live Steamers, which dates from the 1960s, was one of the first hobby trains in the area. This beautiful, four-acre private park is devoted to a small-scale railroad featuring handcrafted steam-, electric-, and gas-powered locomotives that wend their way around a 3,800-foot, 7.5-inch-gauge track. The park is open from May to Oct on Sun and holidays from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free, but (tax-deductible) donations are welcome.
