Description: If you want to go crabbing in Netarts Bay, Bayshore RV Park and Marina offers boat rentals, crab ring rentals, and bait for sale. A crabbing package is available that includes a boat and motor, bait, and three crab rings for two hours for $45. They also have crab cooking facilities and charge $7 a dozen to cook your crabs. The crabbing season in this area is late September through December. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

The staff will assess your child’s needs and provide you with a list of certified or registered providers over the phone, and they will also mail you a list. This office also has a list of short-term babysitters who can watch your child during evenings, weekends, or weekdays. They cannot give you the list of babysitters’ names over the phone but they are happy to let you look at the list if you visit their office.

Description: Tillamook Bay Community College offers a variety of courses. Degree programs include two-year Oregon Transfer Associate of Arts, Associate of General Studies, and Associate of Science Transfer. Students can also earn one-year certificates or a two-year Associate of Science degree in multiple disciplines. The college also offers classes in adult basic education, English as a second language, high school equivalency (GED), and personal enrichment. Description: Tillamook County General Hospital is part of the Adventist Health System, which includes 70 hospitals nationwide. It features a modern birthing center, emergency, surgery, recovery, and laboratory facility. Tillamook County General Hospital’s Emergency Department is a level-three trauma center and is staffed twenty-four hours a day. The Medical/Surgical unit offers services that include immunization evaluation, diabetic management, spiritual care, social services, and rehabilitation. This facility also has hospice care for assistance with patients in their home and at the hospital. A unique service the hospital oversees is called Lifeline. Those who sign up for this service receive a small communication device that is placed in their home. At the press of a button there is someone available to help them twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This service allows patients with special needs to live in their own home but also have the assurance that there is someone there if they need help. Classes offered to the community may include diabetes education, wellness screening, and CPR and first aid. The hospital has an informative Web site that allows you to find a doctor online. Physicians affiliated with the hospital specialize in general surgery, occupational health, radiology, family practice, podiatry, internal medicine, obstetrics, and midwifery. A patient library is available online that has information on topics such as nutrition, parenting and child health, asthma, allergies and respiratory conditions, medications and drugs, cancer, and dieting and weight loss.

13. Cape Meares Lighthouse

Description: The 38-foot-tall Cape Meares Lighthouse was built in 1890 and is the shortest lighthouse tower on the Oregon Coast. The lighthouse is open daily May through September and on the weekends in October, March, and April. A gift shop is located in the lighthouse and is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from May through September. This lighthouse is on a scenic headland in Cape Meares State Park, 10 miles west of Tillamook on the Three Capes Scenic Highway.
