Description: After more than a century and a half, the affectionately nicknamed “Grand Old Lady of Prince Street” and one of only 8 theaters to be named a National Historic Landmark is more than alive and well; she’s singing, dancing, and emoting with the energy of an ingénue. Home of Lancaster’s professional regional theater group and symphony orchestra, the Fulton presents a year-round schedule of major musicals, comedies, and dramas. Opened in 1852, this venue is considered to be the nation’s oldest continuously operating theater and has hosted, through its history, such legends as Sarah Bernhardt, W. C. Fields, Al Jolson, and George M. Cohan. Tickets generally range from $20 for bargain seats to up to $55 for platinum (Lancaster Symphony Orchestra performances begin at $17 and can cost up to $62).
