Start with the pre–Revolutionary War backwoods cabin and end with the elegant Bratton Plantation Home. Farm animals, crops, gardens, and orchards are part of the 775-acre living-history museum, as are costumed docents and demonstrations. Many visitors are interested in The Patriot, portions of which were filmed here. Don’t miss the annual Candlelight Tour, when Brattonsville is filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of an old-fashioned Christmas, or the Battle of Huck’s Defeat, a two-day Revolutionary War battle reenactment held each July. Hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mon through Sat and 1 until 5 p.m. Sun. Admission is $6 adults, $5 seniors, $3 students, free for ages 3 and under.
