Description: Risen Christ was established with the primary stated goal “of preparing each child for a happy and fruitful life.” In keeping with their interpretation of such a lofty goal, a number of developmental categories are emphasized: intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical. Risen Christ staff believe that administering to students on these levels helps children grow into well-rounded and successful adults.Risen Christ is dedicated to bringing up children “in the way of the Lord.” Along with providing spiritual training, Risen Christ strives to maintain high academic standards. The school belongs to the Lutheran Education Association and is one of more than 2,000 Lutheran schools in the United States. Curricular areas of study include religion, English, spelling, writing, math, social studies, science, computers, art, music, physical education, and Spanish (grades 6, 7, and 8). Risen Christ offers prekindergarten and kindergarten classes as well as primary grades 1 through 8. Additionally, it offers before- and after-school child care for prekindergartners through 5th graders. A summer camp also is offered for students.
