Description: Two-legged kids will delight in the opportunity to bottle-feed the four-legged variety at the petting farm here. Baby animals such as goats, lambs, and calves from local ranches spend the summer at this shady, grassy campground, which has been owned and operated by the Christensen family for nearly 50 years. Feedings are at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and guests are welcome to join in. The rest of the time, a heated pool with slide, rec room, and playground are good places to pass the time, and you’ll find free wireless Internet. There are 132 campsites: 45 basic ones for tents or trailers and the rest with full or partial RV hookups. Six camping cabins offer another option for summer nights. Laundry facilities, paved interior roads, a convenience store, cable TV, volleyball, horseshoes, a basketball court, and lovely mountain views all make your stay that much more enjoyable. Weather permitting, you can visit between mid-Apr and mid-Oct. Limited camping is available all winter. Rates for four people range from $19 to $32.
