Description: The Kickers play in the United Soccer League Second Division (USL-2) and bring a gutsy brand of soccer to the 9,000-seat City Stadium near Carytown in Richmond. Always competitive, the team has reached postseason play in 15 of 17 seasons, including playing in the title game five of the past eight years and winning the USL-2 championship in 2006. Some Kickers players go on to Major League Soccer (MLS) teams, and some former MLS players play for a spell here. Because the Kickers organization is involved with the Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club, young fans flock to see their heroes (and sometimes coaches) play on the pitch. Concessions are available at the stadium, and parking is free and easy. Single-game tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth, but season passes make attending multiple games even more affordable.
