Description: The Husky football team has a loyal following; they are often called the Dawgs, and there is even a Dawg Blog and a Dawg Channel. Tickets can be purchased at the Huskies Web site, on www.StubHub.com, or at the Husky ticket office; prices are $32–$72. Big games, like Nebraska or Washington State, will just about always sell out quickly. The football team plays at Husky Stadium, annually voted the most scenic football structure in the nation, proving a huge obstacle for opposing teams. With nearly 70 percent of the seats located between the end zones, Husky Stadium can be one of the loudest in the nation. Sound Transit light rail has been approved to Husky Stadium; construction began in early 2010 and is scheduled for completion in 2016. Until that time, parking at UW sporting events will undergo periods of change. Check the Web site for current parking information before driving to a UW sporting event. Bus service also runs regularly to the stadium.
