Description: Located 37 miles north of Seattle, Tulalip Resort Casino is run by the Tulalip tribes. It is a complete destination in its own right, with a luxury hotel, numerous dining options, entertainment, shopping, meeting facilities, a full-service spa, and of course the casino. Arrival at the front entrance is pretty show-stopping, with a dramatically overdone water feature including fountains and waterfalls, Tulalip tribe life re-creations, and an orca whale jumping out of the small lake (not real!). Don’t let the fairly nondescript building exterior fool you, though—the inside and amenities are just as dramatic. While the casino is Vegas-style lights, nonstop action, and the familiar ca-ching of slot machines, the hotel is laid-back and soothing, with natural materials and Coast Salish art throughout. Guest rooms and suites are pan-Asian chic with luxury amenities including flat-screen televisions and included wireless Internet. There is also a fitness center and the lush indoor Oasis Pool and waterfall. It would be hard to get bored here, with several cool lounges, a cabaret and outdoor amphitheater on-site. Tulalip has a fantastic summer concert series, that features big names in music such as Billy Idol, Buddy Guy, Chicago, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Temptations.
