  • KDA_Defacto - --9:00am 11/11/2015 facility had a fire in the fryer that spread to wall and ceiling in service window. Fire system activated creating contamination of equipment, food and paper products. Wichita Fire Department responded and were not present when I arrived. District manager Marc Schmidt 785-304-2211 --Facility dishes, pans and storage containers in kitchen, walk in cooler and storage by walk in cooler dirty with fire suppression powder and suit from fire. --Frozen foods ok, walk in cooler shrimp 39.6. --Hood system discharged fire suppression solution on to fire in fryers. Hood system has is not currently functioning. District manager said hood will be clean and functioning before opening. --In kitchen, all fryers, refrigerators, walk in cooler, tables, front counter contaminated with fire generated contamination. --In kitchen, hand wash sink soap dispenser, and towel dispenser damaged by heat from fire. --In kitchen, southeastern wall and ceiling damaged by fire. District manager said wall and ceiling would be repaired before reopening. --In kitchen, walk in cooler, front line. food items not in sealed containers or closed boxes discarded. Food items in sealed reach in freezer not effected by fire. Reach in cooler in main kitchen, raw shrimp, onion rings, tenders and Cole slaw discarded VD.
