This is a hipster/college cafe. Very cool building with murals. It is a Bardstown Road landmark. It's the place you go after a night of barhopping or to start one. In the early evening college kids and pseudo-hips sit outside sharing hookahs. It has a built-in clientele to which any rating makes no difference at all. I'm positively astounded it got a 95. Shocking. My visit was my last, as it was absolutely filthy, had to beg the waitress to take time away from her cell phone to wait on us. Obviously being angry at that, the service only went down hill from there. Now, I ride motorcycles, road trip regularly and enjoy a diet that would kill most people, but the fried stuff(??) I got was inedible. I don't know what was in the batter but it was not chewable. We left with lots of stuff still on the plates. But again, none of this matters to the regulars. They will still flock to it for the outside smoking and hipster creds that com with the experience. So, in summation, you go for reasons other than the food.
