I recently had water damage to my phone. I have insurance on the phone so I proceeded to put my claim in on the phone. This being my only phone and basically my lifeline as I live alone is very valuable to me. The representative on the line who took my claim was short and rude, when I asked questions she basically read her script. Frustrated, I went in person to the local AT&T store to get a receipt of my contract so I could fax it the next day. The representative at the store was very helpful. She assisted me in getting the necessary documents and helped me proceed with my claim.Otherwise I would have spent the next day on my lunch break trying to fax the items which would delay the claim even longer. Her name is Jamie Herring, and she is very knowledgeable regarding policies and products of AT&T. Her customer service skills saved this frustrated 15 year customer from going to another company for my business. She could certainly educate the repreprentative that initially assisted me with my claim.
