I am unable to review anything about today's trip except for the drive-thru experience. My extreme thirst may have affected my mood but not the facts. Pulling off the frontage road, I was happy to see just one car in the drive-thru already at the window. I drove around the building and pulled up to the order screen and noticed it was dark. I waited much longer than the expected wait for a greeting and was about to go to the window figuring it was broken when I heard a faint greeting which was something like "I'll be right with you." After a short conversation which I heard in it's entirety as faintly as the greeting, her attention was directed at me again. I attempted way too long to order a mushroom burger and a half tea/half lemonade. I'll never know if it was a success or not. I actually thought to myself that someone else needs to be on the microphone. The waiting to be greeted and ordering process took so long that I was astounded to see the car ahead of me was still there when I rounded the corner. I glanced at the clock. 6:52. At 6:57 I was relieved to watch a small bag transferred to the aged couple ahead of me. No one moved. Must be checking order accuracy. Nope. A second small bag was produced at 7:00 and away they went. I slid on up and gazed in bewilderment at a worker tapping away on a screen for another minute and she was still tapping when I drove away to the next cj which is a couple of miles out of my way. The second attempt went as expected.
We stood at counter for 10 minutes while cashier ignored us and took care of drive-thru (not even a comment from her, sorry or be right with you).
This happens too frequently at this East Broadway location. We left and had lunch at Culver's.
