Sonny’s Cafe: SLOP PEDDLERS
Service: Terrible; The waitress services were lousy, inattentive, borderline hateful. Absolutely not deserving of any tip.
Food: Bad(Slop); The food I ordered was unacceptable and foul tasting. Again, not worthy of any kind of tip.
Atmosphere: Ok. The problem is, the bad food and lousy service absolutely take away from the atmosphere.
Bottom Line: The restaurant gets negative kudos from me, and from many other people, like me, men from out of town working in the local oilfield projects. We just want a good place to eat lunch and dinner, but this place is definitely not it. This place is a STINKER!! Sorry….

I usually do not do reviews online. But in this case, I felt the need so severe to make a post, that I’ll make an exception this time.
I will try to make it as short as possible. I ordered a ribeye steak, I ordered the steak medium rare, but the less than half inch thick steak came out more like medium well or well-done. So I went ahead and cut a piece off to taste it to see how it tasted, but the steak tasted like it was possibly rancid or it just tasted foul, was not good at all. So I asked the waitress if I could have something else , I suggested a chicken fried steak. After waiting about another 20-30 minutes, the owner of the restaurant came out and told me that those steaks were cut themselves by their own people, as if that meant that they couldn’t possibly be bad. I told her I was sorry, but the steak just tasted foul. I could tell it angered her and she left the chicken fried steak in front of me on the table and walked away. By that time, I was kind of feeling a little sick from the steak that I had tasted, so I asked if he waitress to just pack it in a to go box. I had also ordered three cheeseburgers to go to carry out when I was done and ready to pay out, So when I went to pay out for the chicken fry, they failed to put the cheeseburgers on my ticket and charged my card for only the chicken fried steak meal. I made a comment to the young lady checking me out and I said that I was glad that she didn’t charge me for the cheeseburgers because I didn’t want them after all. She then said, oh no, you’re gonna pay for those cheeseburgers or I’m going to call the cops, and I said to her really? You would call the cops on me Because I didn’t want to pay for for food that I don’t want? Really, I then said to her, I should’nt even have to pay for any of this lousy meal. A good business would take care of there customers needs and opinions. So to keep from having any more stress to deal with, I went ahead and paid for the cheeseburgers also. At the end I paid around $45 for probably one of the worst meals, the worst service, the most disgusting place I have ever ate. She even made a comment to me because I didn’t leave a tip, I told her I leave tips for a good food and good service which I had neither here. So my recommendation is avoid Sonny’s café in Purcell Oklahoma, go eat somewhere else, there isn’t a whole Lotta choices but I would rather go to McDonald’s any day of the week then go to that Sonny’s café again I will never step foot in the place again.
