Lexington: A shot of the corner of Main Street (US-1) and Lake Drive (SC-6), the original core of Lexington, South Carolina. The town was founded as Lexington Courthouse (its successor structure is the building on the left) in 1820 on a sandy ridge adjacent to 12 Mile Creek on the Indian trail known as the Occaneechi Path, now US-1. Taken on January 9th, 2009.
