Bok Nam graduated from The New England School of Acupuncture. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under well known professors in the field of TCM. Her clinical experiences include New England School of Acupuncture clinics, Pathways to Wellness, Boston Medical Center, and a private clinic in Boston.
She discovered the effect of TCM by accident, during her personal illness. She had suffered many years on and off with ear infections, which were treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics worked for a while but her ear infections returned right after the last dose of antibiotics. A good friend of hers suggested that she see an acupuncturist. She had heard that acupuncture can treat back pain but she did not know it also treats infections. But one summer, after repeated ear infections, she decided to try acupuncture. After several acupuncture treatments, she was free of ear infection for at least 6 months. This experience changed her views and she became an advocate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
