- Parky's Smokehouse is a full-service, casual dining restaurant featuring authentic barbecue and signature steaks. Catering is available and a large part of the business. The restaurant features a non-smoking atmosphere including family dining, bar and 63-seat patio. Parky's Smokehouse was named one if Indianapolis Monthly magazine's "Ten Little Gems" in 2008. In the same year, Parky's was voted Boone County's "Best Restaurant" in the Lebanon Reporter newspaper poll. In 2010, Parky's was voted in the TOP 5 Barbecue in the Indianapolis City Voter contest. In October 2010, the restaurant was named one of Indiana's "25 Places Worth the Trip" by Indianapolis Monthly magazine. Parky's extensive menu features baby back ribs, chicken, pork, sausage, brisket, steaks, tenderloins, soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The soups, salad dressings, sauces, rubs and nearly every dish on the menu is made in-house from scratch. Parky's is best known for: a variety of barbecue sauce flavors including Sweet, Spicy, Mustard, Bourbon, Molasses, Cranberry, Sloshed (made with beer), Berry Margarita and their newest flavor, Apple City. Smoky Clam Chowder is the Friday favorite, as is Smoked Prime Rib on the weekends. Many love the Blue Cheese house dressing and Creamy Corn Chowder. The Comfort Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce is a must-share. Signature appetizers include the Triple Barbecue Nachos and Fried Dill Pickles with Barbecue Ranch dressing. Parky's Kentucky Margarita, made with Jim Beam, is a local favorite, along with a draft beer such as Blue Moon & Guinness. Parky's also offers Indiana brews such as Three Floyds, Upland and Sun King. Oliver wines from Bloomington find their spot on the menu as well. All items are available for catering and take-out. Custom catering gets the owner's personal attention to create just the right menu for any occasion. Delivery is available all over central Indiana. The restaurant and catering business was started and is actively owned and operated by Gary and Julie Parks of Lebanon. Parky's is open daily at 11 a.m. and accepts credit cards. Cash is even better.
