Remarks: AS WE WERE DESCENDINF INTO DSM WE FELT & HEARD A THUMP. 1ST THOUGHT WAS THAT THE FA HAD DROPPED SOMETHING BUT THEN I TOLD THE F/O THAT WE MAY HAVE HIT A BIRD ON THE BOTTOM OF THE A/C. WE THOUGHT IT WASSTRANGE THAT A BIRDWOULD BE UP AROUND 5000 FT 1130 ATNIGHT. BUT THAT'S WHAT HAD HAPPENED. UPON LDG, WE FUND A SML AREA ABOUT 3" IN DIAMETER JUST BELOW THE RADOME. ABOUT THE SIZE OF A SPARROW WOULD MAKE. AS FAR AS WE COULD TELL, THERE WAS NO DMG. WE CALLED DX AND MX AFTER WRITING IT UP.
