MADE A STEEP APCH WITH IDLE PWR & FULL FLAPS. BLOOD & FEATHERS ON A/C. NO DAMAGE OTHER THAN BROKEN LDG LGT. PRECAUT LDNG WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT. DID NOT NEED EMERG. HAD IT BEEN DAYLIGHT & HAD I SEEN BIRDS COMING I WOULD HAVE HANDLED IT BETTER. SMALL A/C, PROB PVT.
