PILOT HIT BIRDS AND RT ENG WAS OUT. A/C DIVERTED TO CGI TO LAND W/O FURTHER PROBLEMS. DMG REPTD AS MINOR ON ONE REPORT. ENG COWLING BENT, RT GEAR DOOR DAMAGED AND #2 ENG WAS DESTROYED REPTD ON ANOTHER FORM. ASRS SHOWS ENG WAS INOPERABLE. LIKELY RING BILLED GULLS.

Remarks: STRUCK A DEER DURING LANDING FOLLOWING A NIGHT INSTRUMENT APRCH TO RWY 20. PIC STATED DURING T/D, HE OBSERVED THREE DEER ON THE RWY TO THE R OF RWY C/L. ATTEMPTED TO AVOID THE DEER BY SWERVING TO THE LEFT, HOWEVER, ONE DEER RAN DIRECTLY INTO HIS PATH. DMG TO A/C WAS LIMITED TO PROP, NOSE COWLING AND WHEEL PANTS. NO INJURIES REPTD BY PIC OR PAX. INJURIES TO DEER WERE FATAL.
