Indian Wells Tennis Garden

The $77 million Indian Wells Tennis Garden is perhaps best known as the home of the world's fifth largest tennis tournament, the annual BNP Paribas Open, which draws top tennis stars for both men's and women's events. The desert oasis occupies 55 acres at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, where outdoor tennis can be played 365 days a year.

The centerpiece of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden is a state-of-the-art 16,000-seat stadium opened in 2000. It is used not only for pro tennis matches but also for big-name concerts, such as The Eagles, Tom Petty, Bocelli, Pavarotti, and more. During the NBA pre-season, the Phoenix Suns also play an annual basketball game here against the Dallas Mavericks.

A central function of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden is the teaching of tennis. Toward this end, twenty hard courts are maintained year-round for private lessons, group lessons, clinics, adult camp and junior camp. There is a pro shop, a member lounge, a fitness room, and locker rooms that can be used by both members and guests.

The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is located at 78-200 Miles Avenue, Indian Wells, California 92210. Hours of operation are from 8am to 8pm on Monday through Friday and 8am to 5pm on weekends. Summer hours are from 7am to 9pm on weekdays and 7a till noon on Saturdays and Sundays.
