The Edgewater

The Edgewater is a hotel located at Crescent Avenue in Avalon on Catalina Island in California and is approximately 25 minutes drive from Catalina Airport. Visitors can get across to the island from the mainland either by chartering the Island Express Helicopter or crossing on one of the boat services available. This pet friendly hotel has just eight suites on one floor and has a check in time of 3pm and check out by 11am.

The rooms have either an ocean view or overlook the garden with flat screen TVs and cable TV as well wireless internet access and faxing/copying services in the hotel. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast here served daily as well as kitchen access and happy hour hors d'oeuvres. There are plenty of restaurants nearby including Steve's Steakhouse, The Cottage Restaurant and CC Gallagher, all three of which are on Crescent Avenue.

Whilst staying at The Edgewater guests can enjoy various visitor attractions including the Catalina Island Museum, which has many interesting exhibits. The museum is on the ground floor of the historic Casino Building, where rather than gambling there is lots of theater and movie entertainment. Several shops are located on the island including some right on the doorstep of the hotel.
