Description: The Wells Fargo Ski Cup, the largest fund-­raiser of the year for the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), brings together world-­class disabled ski racers, Denver Broncos alumni, and amateur skiers of all abilities. Teams of amateur skiers take to the slopes in the pro-­am race, and a timing run enables casual skiers to compete against more aggressive skiers with racing experience. The Denver Post Celebrity Challenge brings together local media personalities, political leaders, and the occasional former football star, which team up with two racers from the NSCD’s Winter Park Disabled Ski Team. The highlight of the weekend, the World Disabled Invitational, is the only race in which disabled skiers compete head-­to-­head on parallel courses, a format used in professional racing events.
