Description: Pulling students from the city of Littleton and the city of Centennial, Littleton Public Schools is another one of those districts that does a good job with its money. The district serves more than 16,000 students in Littleton and Centennial, including 15 elementary schools, four middle schools, three senior high schools, three alternative schools, two charter schools, and three preschool programs.LPS students consistently rank above state and national averages on standardized tests. Littleton has one of Metro Denver’s highest composite ACT scores in recent rankings, the third-­highest average teacher salaries, and the third-­lowest high-­school dropout rate. Of the district’s more than 1,000 full-­time teachers, more than 64 percent hold master’s or doctorate degrees, and they average 12 years of teaching experience.The district places a high value on small class sizes, which range from 17 to 23 for elementary and 28 to 32 for middle- and high-­school classes.
