Description: Porter Place is on the campus of Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver’s University Park neighborhood on the northernmost edge of Englewood. In addition to independent and assisted living (with studio, one-­bedroom, and two-­bedroom apartments), it offers small studio apartments for visiting family and friends of residents, and the facility offers respite care. Porter Place is affiliated with Centura Health and Porter Adventist Hospital, but that doesn’t mean it looks like a medical facility. The interiors are lovely, from the grand piano and high ceilings of the lobby to the pleasant tranquility of the library. There are flower gardens and outdoor patios, activity rooms, a chapel, gift shop, beauty and barber shop, big-­screen TV room, parlor, card room, and craft room. Plus residents have access to the hospital’s Porter Health Club. A recently completed addition provides assisted living in a secure environment, called Memory Care, in the Elizabeth Rose Wing.
