Description: Red Crags Bed and Breakfast Country Inn of Manitou Springs is a magnificent four-story Victorian mansion that has been a landmark in the Pikes Peak region for more than 130 years. It became a bed-and-breakfast in 1989. The 7,000-square-foot main house of this 8-room country inn dominates the 2-acre estate, prominently situated as it is on a bluff overlooking Manitou Valley. Views from the inn include Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and the City of Colorado Springs. High ceilings, hardwood floors, and beautiful antiques decorate the common areas of the main floor. A lovely parlor with a large bar, antique piano, and fireplace is a great place for conversation and the solarium is wonderful for relaxing on a sunny day. Or sit on one of the covered decks or stroll around the grounds, which include a stream, and visit the herb garden. The formal dining room features a rare cherrywood Eastlake fireplace—the perfect backdrop for a gourmet breakfast, served at Rockledge Country Inn next door. They can accommodate special dietary needs with advance notice. Guest rooms all have king-size beds, fireplaces, and private baths. Pets are not allowed; neither is smoking. Children 10 and older are welcome.
