Description: From New London, ferry service is available to Block Island, Rhode Island, from mid-June to mid-Sept (For Block Island call 860-444-4624). Take the Sea Jet for high-speed service and arrive in Orient Point, New York, in 40 minutes. One-way fares for autos (with driver) are $52.32 (including surcharges); adult foot passengers, $15.33 (Sea Jet, $21.40); children under 12 ride free. Casino service to Mohegan and Foxwoods is also available, with bus connection for arriving travelers. The Block Island Express also departs from the Ferry Street dock. One-way fares are $24 for adults and $12 for children. There are charges for bicycles, bike trailers, carts, wagons, and surfboards. Crossing takes approximately an hour and 40 minutes. For foot passengers only, service between New London and Montauk, New York, runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day by way of Viking Fleet Voyage (www.vikingfleet.com).
