Description: Dozens of Pinellas County chefs bring their best dishes to the Taste of Pinellas in St. Petersburg’s waterfront Vinoy Park for a three-day smorgasbord of sweet and savory samplings that benefits All Children’s Hospital. Eat your way from seafood to soul food to crème brulee and cheesecake, while enjoying the live entertainment and balmy breezes coming across the bay. A large children’s area with inflatables and other activities keeps the younger set occupied between tastes of pizza and burgers—or sushi! Saturday night ends with fireworks. Admission is free; food tickets are $5 for 8 tickets, and most tastes cost between 6 and 12 tickets. Children’s area requires a wristband—$15 for the whole day. Restroom facilities are Port-o-lets around the park. The park is grassy but flat, so strollers and wheelchairs work well. Credit cards are accepted and an ATM machine is on site.Park in any of various downtown garages and ride the free shuttle to the park. No coolers or outside food or beverages are allowed. No pets, please, including birds and snakes. Service animals are, of course, permitted.
