Description: The administration and faculty of Bible Baptist seek to educate the whole child while emphasizing the spiritual side of students’ development. Bible is taught in every class of this traditional Christian school, which has an enrollment of 380 students in prekindergarten through high school. The coed, college-prep school is a mission of Bible Baptist Church, and it’s located on a 19-acre church-school complex that includes a football stadium, a lighted baseball field, and a gymnasium with two full basketball courts. Although the school is open to students of all faiths, the teaching of Christian values is stressed.Spacious classrooms give teachers plenty of room for learning centers and computer corners, and the average class size is 16 to 20 students. Ninety percent of graduates attend college. Among school traditions are the ceremony at which juniors are presented their senior-class rings by parents or friends and attend a social gathering afterward, with parents, grandparents, and siblings invited to join in. Bible Baptist, whose founders say it was formed in reaction to the ban on prayer in public schools and what was seen as a lack of discipline there, has a full program of varsity athletics. The school is a member of the Georgia Christian Athletic Association and Georgia Association of Christian Schools.
