Description: More than 170 participating merchants and service providers offer discounts to Senior Citizens’ members (and many give price reductions to any senior citizen, member or not). Maintaining a current inventory of the very fluid list of participants and the terms of their discount offers has proven to be a pretty overwhelming challenge for the Senior Citizens’ staff. Participating merchants are asked to display the Senior Citizens’ logo where customers are likely to see it. If a freshly updated list isn’t available when you join, and if you don’t see a logo displayed by a merchant, the organization encourages you to show your membership card and ask if they participate in the program. After all, even if you don’t have fixed-income problems, it’s nice to pay less if you have the opportunity.
